Universe, journeys, steps and processes.
1) Journey.
After studies, it appears that the journey to be fine should last only one to two months, the current duration of six months is too dangerous in terms of human factors. We are therefore not ready for this expedition, rocket engines must be optimized, improved, or we need to innovate and thus perform a disruptive technological leap. Ships parts are expected as well as materials, spacesuits and medications. We must put maximum odds to succeed.
Update, on monday the 05th of january, 2015, still after studies, I think the conception of this journey as it is proposed by different entities through the world involved in the MARS planet mission are not serious. Indeed, the journey must be seen and preferred in long-term to ensure the maximum security / safety to the crew for this mission, so this journey must focus attention and get important fundings. The journey must be composed of :
- one space station, aimed to be in planet MARS orbit (support platform for MARS explorers and usable for the next MARS explorations missions) ;
- two exploration space vehicles, (MELCHIZEDEC A + B), (stowable to the space station) ;
- two aerospace vehicles reusable (rockets), JERUSALEM B + JERUSALEM B' (emergency exploration aerospace vehicle (rocket), security / safety), stowable to the space station and controllable from the MARS ground with the help of a communication system device / remote control device, available in the MARS planet base on the ground, in the MARS planet space station and in the aerospace vehicle.
Anyway, the space mission convoy will be powered by the exploration space vehicles, MELCHIZEDEC A for going to MARS planet orbit, MELCHIZEDEC B for the coming back from MARS planet orbit. The main problem remaining is all about the speed we must reach to avoid the human factors risks of a long-term journey and humanize the long-term journey, and so shorten the duration of the journey. Update, on sunday the 29th of march, 2015, I have an idea for reducing the duration of the journey (go) to MARS planet, but not the journey (back) to EARTH planet. Disruption idea.
Update, on tuesday the 31st of march, 2015, I have new ideas including for the journey (back) to EARTH planet, same speed as the journey (go).
Update, on sunday the 05th april, 2015, planet MARS mission steps must be more accurate :
- From EARTH planet ground to EARTH planet orbit. Reusable aerospace vehicle, rocket. Stowable to the ISS (International Space Station) for instance ;
- journey EARTH planet - MARS planet (go). Human mission to MARS planet, (WIKIPEDIA © ®) © ®. Convoy, in the reusable exploration space vehicle, we must avoid risks linked to this journey, psychological risks, human factors risks, solar flares risks, cosmic rays risks, weightlessness risks (so we need artificial gravity : artificial gravity, (WIKIPEDIA © ®) © ®. During the journey, if it's performed at high speed (VASIMR or my disruptive idea) we must avoid collision risks with every object in space (asteroid, etc, ...) and every collision risk with dust in space. We must place a space station in MARS planet orbit, in support of astronauts-explorers ;
- MARS planet orbit - MARS planet ground. An aerospace vehicle, reusable rocket should be used.
- Life of expedition on MARS planet. Research (of water, of life under every form, scientific studies, more accurate because in-situ) ;
- MARS planet ground - MARS planet orbit. Use of aerospace vehicle, reusable rocket which was used for coming, if there is a problem, we must use the emergency aerospace vehicle, reusable rocket (controllable from the space station or from the aerospace vehicle, reusable rocket) ;
- journey MARS planet (back)- EARTH planet. We must use the other exploration space vehicle if the first (used for the go) is out-of-order or it doesn't work properly. Avoid the risks related in the go-journey phase ;
- EARTH planet orbit - EARTH planet ground. Back on the ISS, expedition comes back on EARTH planet ground with the help of the reusable aerospace vehicle, rocket stowed to the ISS (which was used to leave the ground of EARTH planet).
